2. Barcelona 

Barcelona is the perfect city destination for everyone, as it's a city with so much to offer, from glorious sights and pretty streets drawing you into explore. If you're a fan of architecture then there's an array to explore.

Things to do in Barcelona:

  • The Sagrada Famila, which soars above the city and is around 130 years old!
  • The Barcelona Cathedral is another great place to explore with impressive Gothic architecture 
  • Lastly, the Picasso Museum is a firm favourite for avid art lovers.

3. Rome

  • The Trevi Fountain, you can make a wish and throw in a penny, which is a firm favourite with tourists.
  • St. Peter's Basilica, the Roman Forum which is a naturalistic and archaeological site.

Rome is also great for good food, wine, shopping and beautiful parks.

4. Istanbul

  • The Bosphorus Strait is another must when you're in Istanbul, you can take a cruise and experience the vibrant ocean.

5. Marrakech

Marrakech is in Morocco, and is the perfect city break, boasting glorious weather, mountains and peaceful surroundings. 

Things to do in Marrakech:

  • Take a hot air balloon over Marrakech with breakfast included, look out for deals online!
  • Visit the Jardin Majorelle which is a beautifully maintained garden.
  • The Bahia Palace is a 19th century palace which offers serenity and beauty inside.
  • Lastly, the Saadian Tombs is a piece of history to discover. The tombs are the resting place of al-Mansur, his family and other notable officials from the reign of Sultan Ahmad al-Mansur.

Plane journey time from Birmingham: approx. 3 hours and 42 minutes. Morocco are one hour ahead of us nu the UK, however, they do not observe daylight saving hours, so when it's British Summer time (when the clocks go forward), the time will be the same as in Morocco.
